In the National Honor Society, each student is judged by four principles; scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Scholarship - Each student must have a 3.0 GPA and take Honors classes.
Leadership - Each student must exercise a positive influence on peers in upholding school ideals. They must be a leader in the classroom, at work, and in community activities. They must also be able to handle responsibility with a positive attitude.
Service - Each student volunteers, is gladly available, and is willing to sacrifice their time to offer assistance.
Character - Each student must demonstrate obedience to rules, show unwillingness to profit by the mistakes of others, refrain from substance abuse, refrain from criminal or delinquent acts, cooperate by complying with school regulations, and actively help rid the school of bad influences.
