What a special day in Mrs. Hiseley’s 7th-grade ELA class! 🎉 A local author and proud school alumn came for a Q&A, sharing behind-the-scenes stories about his novel and the writing process. The class just finished a novel study over his book, and they were eager to ask him questions and meet the man behind the pen. Then he surprised each student with a personalized, signed copy of the book! 📚✍️
How meaningful is it when students meet the person behind the story?!

Mrs. Berry and Mrs. Griswold's second graders have been celebrating “Wonka Week” after finishing the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They dove deeper into vocabulary, did some comprehension activities, and ended the week with a chocolate fountain.

Can a little delay make something even better? 🦅 Mrs. Hiseley’s 8th-grade English class might be a month behind schedule, but they still brought Eagle Chronicles to press — and last month’s edition is ready for you to enjoy! 📰✨ February's edition is right around the corner!

Afton Public Schools is looking for our next Elementary Principal. We need someone who loves working with our youngest learners (PK-5) and is ready to lead our amazing staff into a bright future.

Mrs. Allen's 3rd grade class wrote, illustrated and published their very own book, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Third Grader. Great job Little Eagles🖤🧡
