Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Victor’s 3rd Graders Join OKC Zoo’s Making Tracks Program 🐾
Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Victor’s 3rd-grade classes took part in the OKC Zoo’s Making Tracks program from February to April — and they were the very first classes to try the zoo’s new virtual program! 🎉
Students practiced making careful observations using the same scientific vocabulary zoologists use when studying animals. Lessons were hands-on and playful: learners described objects using only observations, completed a research project, watched zoo videos and recorded what they noticed, and even acted out being “scientists & meerkats” 🐒🔬.
The program wrapped up with a live Zoo Chat with the OKC Zoo, where students observed animals in real time and asked questions they had developed during their lessons. It was a curious, exciting way to learn about animal science — and a big hit with our third graders! 🐾📚🥳

The Student Council hosted a pie-in-the-face contest last week.
Students and Faculty could pay $1 to put a name on a ticket to be drawn for the contest. Renee Wayland raised the most money, AND her name was drawn out to get pied. We appreciate her being willing to raise funds for STUCO! And she is next year's President!

Today is National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, and we would like to recognize our bus drivers for all they do for our school and students!!
