We need ALL parents/guardians to complete the survey linked below to help us gather the necessary info for registration. This includes elementary, middle school, AND high school students! ✏️

🚨🚨OSSAA Dead Week🚨🚨
Will run from June 28th to July 6th.
During this time, all athletics and activities governed by the OSSAA are on hold. This means there will be no use of school facilities and no contact between coaches and athletes for any athletic purpose according to the OSSAA.
All athletic facilities, fields, weight rooms, and gyms on campus will be closed for the duration of the dead period to all athletes.
Summer workouts will resume on July 7th.

The summer school field trip bus will be arriving back to the school at 2PM today.
Just a reminder that Adventure Academy will start Monday, June 2nd at 8:00 AM. Grades K-5th grade are welcome to attend. Monday-Thursday, June 2-June 26. The times of operation will be 8:00AM-12:00 PM. We look forward to having a great "adventure" this summer.

It was a great day to be a first grader! Mrs. Markes and Mrs. Terry had a special "Glow Day" for their students. They did math, reading and writing along with a cup tower and ring toss all while glowing in the dark. The new safe room was the perfect place to be all aglow!
7th grade students enjoy a pizza party after winning the middle school supplies war. Students were tasked with cleaning out their lockers and donating their school supplies for points. 7th grade had the most to donate, collected the most points, and earned the party!
Early Dismissal Today
APS and area schools have been communicating with the National Weather Service about the severe weather that is expected for this area this afternoon. Due to the threat of severe weather, APS will release school today at 1:30 pm so that buses may safely get students home and return to the school by the time weather is supposed to be in our area. It is with the safety of students and staff in mind that school will release early. Please stay weather aware. The Fire Department will open the Safe Room if needed, NO PETS ALLOWED.
🌟 Exciting highlights from our 8th Grade Wax Museum event, led by dedicated educators Mrs. Cottrell and Mrs. Pendergraft! This innovative project allowed students to research and embody significant figures from U.S. history, fostering creativity and public speaking skills. This event was a fantastic opportunity for students to stand out and showcase their creativity! Their presentations brought history to life! 💫

Afton Schools will be holding the annual school talent show tomorrow, Wednesday, May 14th at 12:30PM in the elementary gym. All students will be attending and there will be a concession stand. Parents are also welcome.🧡🖤
