Mrs. Allen's 3rd grade class wrote, illustrated and published their very own book, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Third Grader. Great job Little Eagles🖤🧡

Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets for our Valentine Spa Basket! Because of your generosity, our FCCLA Chapter raised a total of $445. With these funds, we were able to purchase potted tulips for the women at the women’s shelter, along with making a $343 cash donation to the Community Crisis Center to help support their needs. We truly appreciate your support in helping us make a difference in our community! 💐💗

District Basketball will be at Afton on Saturday February 14, 2026. The Afton Eagles will be hosting the Quapaw Wildcats. The only passes that will be excepted are the OSSAA Playoff Pass. You can by your tickets online by following the directions in the picture for $8.35 (Screen shots will not be excepted, we must be able to redeem the ticket) or you can pay at the door for $10. We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday as we support all of our young student athletes.

Last week Mrs. Victor's 3rd Grade class did a lesson over the different moon phases, after learning about them they demonstrated how the different phases can look🌕🌑🌙

Their commitment to continuous learning strengthens our instructional practice and directly supports student achievement. After learning about the Native American Tribes in Social Studies, the 3rd graders enjoyed going through the Native American Traveling Trunk from the Dobson Museum.

Afton FCCLA members Greyson Gibson and Izzy Hogue competed yesterday in the FCCLA Regional STAR Events held in Owasso. Greyson competed in New Member FACTS, which includes a test covering FCCLA knowledge, while Izzy competed in the FCCLA Creed competition. Although they did not advance to State competition, both students worked hard and competed against a tough group of competitors. Congratulations to Greyson Gibson for earning 🥉 3rd place in New Member FACTS, and great job to both students for representing Afton FCCLA! Thank you to Michalyn Coopedge and Zoey Wethey for serving as timekeepers for Career Investigation and Teach and Train. ⏰ A special thank you to Gracie Williams for volunteering her time to assist Mrs. Pierce in ensuring all students made it to their events while Mrs. Pierce judged STAR Events. 💞 We also appreciate Cuchara Jaggars for taking time out of her day to serve as a judge for Focus on Children. 💖
